Training
Basic Life Support (BLS)
The Basic Life Support Course is a basic three hour introduction to First Aid procedures. It can be delivered at one of our training venues around the country or at your own premises.
The syllabus follows the guidelines of the Resuscitation Council (UK) and the treatment contained in the VAS Tripartite Manual.
On completion of the course, candidates will be awarded a Certificate of Attendance which is valid for one year from the date of issue.
Course Contents
- Dealing with an Emergency Situation – ensuring safety, summoning help
- Cardiac Arrest – Recognition & Treatment (i.e. CPR)
- Unconsciousness – Causes, Recognition and Treatment
- Blood Loss – Recognising Shock, Treating blood loss
